Meet our new boar...
Wilbur is our new Gloucestershire Old Spot boar. He arrived this fall all the way from California. He is a sweet young board who loves broccoli and belly rubs! We look forward to the diverse genetics he will contribute to our farm.
Our small, family farm is committed to thoughtfully raised poultry and pork. We provide our chickens, turkeys, and pigs with locally milled feeds, which are free of both GMO ingredients and soy. It is important to us that our animals live outdoors where they can express natural behaviors, while being protected from predators. We raise Rainbow Rangers and Cornish Cross broilers. The Rainbow Rangers are a slower growing hybrid which is particularly suited to foraging on pasture. They have a more complex flavor and texture. Cornish Cross broilers are fast-growing hybrid chickens with thick breasts and thighs. Our first chickens will be available to purchase in mid-August 2020.
Midget White Turkeys are a heritage breed of turkey that weighs between 10-15 pounds at maturity. Unlike their broad-breasted cousins, they can reproduce naturally. Their diminutive size is perfect for dinner anytime - not just on holidays! A limited number of turkeys will be available in early December 2020.
Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs are known for their deeply flavored, marbled chops and delicious bacon. This is a heritage pig suited to a natural life outdoors. Our pigs are rotated between several forested acres so they always have fresh ground to root and wallow. Whole and half pigs will be available in December 2020.
